Bilt Dining guide: Earn more points per dollar spent at select restaurants

Since April 2023, Bilt Rewards members have had the opportunity to earn extra points at select restaurants through the Bilt Dining program. Similar to other dining rewards programs, Bilt Dining offers bonus rewards when you use an enrolled card to pay at participating restaurants. In addition, Bilt occasionally offers exclusive dining experiences and promotions to its members, such as the Bilt Rent Day promotion in February that provides Valentine’s Day dinner reservations at select restaurants in various cities including Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. This article will serve as a guide to help you understand and maximize your earnings with Bilt Dining.

To earn points through Bilt Dining, Bilt members can earn up to 10 points per dollar spent, depending on the points multiplier indicated in the Bilt app at the time of purchase. These points can be earned on any card that is linked to the member’s Bilt Wallet. It’s important to note that Bilt Rewards will give you points back when you dine at Bilt Dining locations, even if you don’t pay with the Bilt Mastercard. However, you must pay with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express card that is linked to your Bilt Wallet.

When you pay at any restaurant using your Bilt Mastercard, you automatically earn 3 points per dollar due to the bonus category on the card. On Bilt Rent Day (the first of the month), you can double your earnings, meaning you could get 6 points per dollar spent on dining purchases made on that day. To earn points in a billing cycle, you must use your card at least five times, and paying rent each cycle counts as one of those five transactions.

As of January 2024, Bilt Dining has expanded to include restaurants in several cities, such as Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Oregon, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle. This is a significant expansion from the initial five cities when the program was launched. To find eligible Bilt Dining restaurants, you can check out the “Dining” tab in the Bilt app and choose from Bilt’s top picks or filter by location, cuisine, and price range.

It’s important to note that you can earn an unlimited number of points through Bilt Dining, but it may take up to seven days for bonus earnings to post to your Bilt Rewards account. Additionally, you won’t earn Bilt Dining bonus points if the transaction is made through a third-party marketplace or an online ordering platform.

To make the most of your Bilt Dining experience, you can utilize the Bilt Wallet feature. If you have a Bilt Mastercard, it will automatically show in the Bilt Wallet tab of your Bilt app. You can also link other payment methods to your Bilt Rewards account through this tab. Bilt is currently offering 100 points per linked card for the first three eligible cards added to the Bilt Wallet. This means that 100 points are worth $2.05, according to TPG’s valuation of Bilt points. If you share a card with others, you can add the card to multiple members’ Bilt Wallets, but only the most recent card added will receive points on Bilt Dining.

In addition to earning points, Bilt occasionally includes Bilt Dining in its monthly Rent Day promotions. For example, in February, Bilt is offering an exclusive Rent Day promotion for Valentine’s Day dinner reservations at select restaurants in Boston, New York, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. Members can pay for their reservations using Bilt points or a card linked to their Bilt Wallet. Starting at noon on February 1st, Bilt members can make a reservation for a party of two for either 15,000 Bilt points or $200. If you choose to book for $200, you can use any card in your Bilt Wallet to pay. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bilt Rewards has a lot to offer its members, from monthly Rent Day promotions to live award availability powered by Point.me in the Bilt app. Even if you don’t live in one of the cities currently served by Bilt Dining, it’s promising that Bilt is allowing members to add other cards to their Bilt Wallet, as they plan to continue rolling out new ways to earn points across various categories through the Bilt Wallet.

In conclusion, Bilt Dining provides an excellent opportunity for Bilt Rewards members to earn extra points at select restaurants. By utilizing the Bilt Wallet feature and taking advantage of exclusive promotions like the Bilt Rent Day promotion, members can maximize their earnings and enjoy unique dining experiences. Whether you’re a food lover or simply looking to earn more rewards, Bilt Dining is worth exploring.
