Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has once again raised the bar for luxury travel with the launch of a new high-end collection of amenity kits and loungewear in partnership with Italian design powerhouse Giorgio Armani and luxury well-being brand Espa. This collaboration brings together the best of Italian design and Emirati hospitality to create a truly exceptional inflight experience for passengers.
The new range of amenity kits will be available across Etihad Airways’ premium cabins, as well as in economy class on longer-haul flights. The collection, set to roll out from the end of February, features stylish and functional items that cater to the needs and preferences of discerning travelers.
Etihad’s partnership with Giorgio Armani dates back to 2023 when the airline first introduced Armani/Casa-branded tableware and soft furnishings in its business class cabins. The new collaboration expands on this partnership, offering passengers a range of amenity kits designed by Armani that reflect the brand’s signature style and sophistication.
Additionally, Etihad has teamed up with Espa, a renowned luxury well-being brand, to provide passengers with a selection of premium skincare products and amenities. The partnership with Espa began last year with the launch of limited-edition amenity kits to mark the airline’s 20th anniversary. The new collection builds on this successful collaboration, offering passengers a range of high-quality skincare products to enhance their inflight experience.
Turky Al Hammadi, head of product and hospitality for Etihad Airways, highlighted the importance of offering luxury amenities to passengers, stating that the new collection aims to provide convenience, style, and luxury both inflight and at home. The co-branded Giorgio Armani amenity bags are not only practical but also serve as collectible items that passengers can enjoy long after their flight.
In economy class, passengers flying on flights longer than six hours will receive a stylish branded tote bag filled with essential inflight items such as hand cream, an eye mask, and earplugs. The tote bags come in three collectible designs inspired by Etihad’s iconic livery tail fin designs, including special liveries like the Greenliner and Manchester City.
To promote sustainability, each tote bag is made from a recycled 500-milliliter PET bottle, helping to reduce the use of single-use plastics. By offering reusable bags to passengers, Etihad aims to minimize its environmental impact and encourage sustainable travel practices among its customers.
Business class passengers will receive amenity kits designed by Armani, featuring two unisex styles – a clutch bag and a cube. The clutch bag, co-branded by Armani and Etihad, features a modern print design inspired by the Liwa desert in Abu Dhabi, while the cube bag is designed for easy packing and organization. Inside each amenity bag, passengers will find luxury Espa skincare products, plush slippers, an eye mask, earplugs, and a travel dental kit.
In addition to the amenity kits, business class passengers on long-haul flights longer than nine hours will also receive new loungewear inspired by traditional Emirati dress. The loungewear features the iconic Emirati V stitching on the chest, paying homage to the UAE’s cultural heritage. Plush slippers complete the set, ensuring passengers are comfortable and relaxed throughout their journey.
For passengers in Etihad’s most premium cabins – The Residence and first class – the airline has introduced a large folio bag co-branded by Armani and Etihad. The folio bag, one of the largest amenity kits in the sky, comes in four colors and is designed to fit a 13-inch laptop and other travel essentials. Inside the bag, passengers will find beauty and skincare products from Espa, as well as an eye mask, earplugs, and a travel dental kit.
Passengers in The Residence and first class will also receive bespoke Giorgio Armani and Etihad-branded loungewear and slippers. The charcoal-colored loungewear features a tonal print inspired by the Abu Dhabi skyline, while the slippers have a matching print and plush faux-fur inner soles.
