American Express has recently launched two new targeted offers for Marriott Bonvoy spending. The second offer is specifically targeted to Amex business cards, while the first offer is aimed at Amex’s consumer cards.

To take advantage of this offer, cardholders must first add the offer to their card and then use the same card to redeem it. Reservations must be made online at Marriott.com, via the Marriott Bonvoy App, or by calling 1-888-236-2427. Certain exclusions apply, such as Marriott Vacation Club, Marriott Grand Residence Club, Design Hotels, Protea Hotels, Marriott Executive Apartments, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, Vistana Signature Network, Vistana Residence Network, gift card purchases, online retail purchases, hotel amenities, and purchases of Marriott Bonvoy points.
Qualifying purchases must be made with the enrolled American Express Card and total at least $300 USD. The offer is limited to $60 in total statement credits per Card Member, with a maximum of one statement credit per Card Member. The statement credit will appear on the billing statement within 90 days after March 31, 2024, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about the qualifying purchase.
This targeted offer is the weaker of the two offers published by American Express, as the maximum rebate available is only $60 compared to the $120 maximum rebate available on the consumer card offer. However, a $60 saving is still better than nothing.
Cardholders with Amex business cards, such as The Blue Business Plus Credit Card from American Express, which earns 2 points per dollar on the first $50,000 of spending every year, or the Marriott Bonvoy Business Card from American Express, which allows cardholders to earn 6 Bonvoy points per dollar, would benefit greatly from this offer.
The offer is quite favorable as there is no requirement to earn the full $60 rebate on a single transaction. Cardholders with multiple cheaper stays that total at least $300 can make the most of this deal. Additionally, the offer covers most Bonvoy properties in North America and the Caribbean, providing ample opportunities to use the offer.
While it would have been ideal if the offer extended to other regions, Amex rarely includes the rest of the world in its offers. Nonetheless, the broad scope of this offer provides cardholders with numerous options for redemption.
